Subject:- Nablus, Clearance of Tomb
             on property of Raji Abd al-Majid.
Reference:- Your No ATQ/165 of 6.7.34.

According to the written agreement made between me on behalf of the Department
and the above owner all objects enumerated in the list attached to my report dated 25.6.34
which were found by me [?] in course of clearing the Tomb are the property of our Department.
They are now kept in my office waiting your instructions to have them sent to the museum. Photographs of
same were taken by me today.

But other objects such as: 1 stone sarcophagus in Chamber No 1, 5 stone sarcophagi
in Chamber No 2 (see plan) and 2 pots (a little broken) found on the first occasion by the police are,
in accordance with your letter No ATQ/165 of 24.5.34, are property of the owner and the Dept could acquire
them only by paying their cost-prices. The two pots were photographed today with other objects. None of
the sarcophagi was photographed because they need artificial light. I suggest that one of our professional
photographer should do the work of photographing inside the chambers. I am ready to help when instruction is sent to
me to that effect.

מכתב בכתב יד קורסיבי באנגלית על נייר צהבהב-בז', כתמים ואותות בלאי, כתם עגול כחלחל בצד שמאל (אולי חותמת דיו שדהתה). חותמת רשמית מלבנית בסגול "מחלקת העתיקות, ירושלים" עם תאריך קבלה 12 ביולי 1934 ומספר תיק ATQ/165. המכתב עוסק בפינוי/פתיחת קבר סלע (Tomb) בנבלוס בשטח בבעלות ראג'י עבד אלמג'יד, ובחלוקת הממצאים הארכיאולוגיים (סרקופגים, כדים) בין מחלקת העתיקות לבעל הקרקע.
