Subject:- Nablus, Clearance of Tomb on
property of Raji Abd el-Majid.
Reference:- Your No ATQ/165 of 6.7.34.

A detailed report, plan, list of objects
and photographs regarding the above tomb have
been submitted to you long ago by me, and
until now I was not informed of your decision
as to the disposal of the objects and the tomb-
chamber itself.

Now I received a letter from District
Officer Nablus with a copy of a petition from the
owner of the place asking for permission to use
the cave-tomb for whatever he wants it.

I shall be grateful if you revise
the papers of this case and send your decision
as to disposal of the cave to the District Officer
himself and at the same time sending me your
decision as to the disposal of the objects which I
keep in my office.

The letter of the District Officer is in
Arabic; its No. is 102/3 of 11. 12. 34.

[הערה: מכתב בכתב יד על נייר צהבהב (מזכיר גוון קלף ישן), עם שתי חותמות עיגול אפורות (סימני חור תיוק) בצד שמאל. חותמת מלבנית רשמית סגולה של מחלקת העתיקות בירושלים מתוארכת 17 בדצמבר 1934. כתב היד רהוט, בסגנון קורסיבי אנגלי של התקופה. שם הכותב "N. Makhouly" חתום בתחתית, מתאים לנמען המצוין במכתבים המוקלדים האחרים באותה תיקיית ארכיון (ATQ/165).]
